Free theme in color. All types of photographs are welcome, without genre limitations.

Open Monochrome

Free theme in monochrome. All black-and-white, sepia, or toned photographs are allowed.

Nature

Plants, landscapes, and animals in their natural environment. Includes wildlife, birds, insects, and fish. Pet photography is not part of this theme.

Moments of Life (Photojournalism)

Photographs capturing everyday life, events, people, and the atmosphere of public spaces.

Travel

Places, landscapes, and cultures from travels. Photographs may show cities, nature, or local traditions. No restrictions.

Portrait

Human presence in all its forms. Studio, environmental, candid, or conceptual portraits that reveal character and emotion

Water

Water in all its forms — oceans, rivers, rain, reflections, ice, or abstraction. Explore movement, light, and atmosphere shaped by water.

Geometry

Compositions driven by lines, shapes, symmetry, and structure. Architecture, abstraction, or everyday scenes transformed through visual order.

Light

Photographs where light is the main visual element. Natural or artificial light, shadows, silhouettes, reflections, contrast, atmosphere, and mood created by light.

Celebration

Photographs of joyful events, traditions, ceremonies, achievements, and shared moments of happiness and togetherness.

Welcome to Nordic Light, a new international exhibition celebrating photography in its purest form – the power of visual expression, composition, and capturing the decisive moment.

Nordic Light brings new themes and challenges while maintaining the standards that have proven inspiring and suitable for photographers of all levels. Each theme offers the opportunity to showcase your style, explore light and shadow, composition, and the story your photograph conveys.
